The card - a little white on white. (one of my favorite things!)
Brrrr! It's 7 degrees and lots of frozen snow on the ground. The high is only supposed to be 17 today - yuk! Another good day to stay inside and stamp. I did get some stamping done yesterday - not real productive as it's taking me a while to find things in this new room :) But it feels good to stamp again!!!!
Enjoy your day.

The card - some printed paper and a tag stamp/die cut from Hero Arts.
Sure glad I got my errands done earlier in the week - it's been snowing all night and it's still snowing. Guess I will get to use my new snow shovel today! Had a stamping day planned with Judy S today, but I don't imagine she's going to venture out in this mess. Looks like I will be stamping by myself today - it's been so long since I stamped anything that it will be a miracle if I remember how :)
Have a wonderful day!
Tuesday, December 3, 2013
The card - stamped image is from Hero Arts, stamped in a variety of colors with an added sentiment.
Time to get back to regular stuff now - need to get class kits cut today for tonight's class - it seems like it's been forever since I've had a class and my brain needs to catch up and switch gears. (and that's not as easy as it once was!)
Enjoy your day!
Monday, December 2, 2013
The card - stamped image is from SU. Colors are wisteria, eggplant and limeade.
A good day yesterday - the Broncos beat Kansas City (again!) and the Christmas decorations are up! Yay! I still haven't gotten any stamping done, but hopefully I can get to that soon! A long list of errands to get done today.
Have a great day!

An on-going project..... if you remember how packed to the ceiling this garage was just a few weeks ago, this is definitely an improvement. My car is in the garage and the pile of stuff only takes up half now! That's progress! I actually have new garage doors now too.
Started putting up the Christmas decorations yesterday.... I'm hoping to finish that up this morning and maybe have some time to stamp this afternoon - woo hoo!
Enjoy your day!

Photo Saturday - sharing one of Jeff's photos this week. Colorado National Monument.
I took a much needed r & r day yesterday - read, napped, read some more and ended the day watching Garth Brooks Live from Las Vegas on tv last night - what a great show! Today Jeff and his friend are installing the new garage doors and then hopefully I will be able to get to my Christmas decorations and get a few of those put up.
Have a great day!

The card - flower is from SU. A simple layout using the birthday embossing folder. The flower is sponged on the edges with white and popped up. Colors are white and midnight muse.
Awww........a free day! I'm not a Black Friday shopper so that's not an option. But I do have some class projects I need to get done so maybe I can get motivated to work on that. We'll see - I might just lay around and do absolutely nothing - can't even remember what that is like :)
Have a wonderful day.
Wednesday, November 27, 2013
The card - stamped image is from Unity. Used an oval punch and then added some colored brads to match the paper. The oval is popped up.
Have a couple errands to do today - other than that I'm looking at a fairly normal type day - no unpacking, just a general get the house cleaned up and the laundry done kind of day. I'm not sure if I know how to do a 'normal' type day anymore :)
Enjoy your day!
Tuesday, November 26, 2013
The card - stamped images are from SU. Colors are white, black and calypso coral.
Today needs to be clean-up day. Jeff came and put in a new front door yesterday afternoon and there is quite the mess left from that project. Today he's going to try and get the new screen door up and the new back door in - that will probably mean more cleaning up tomorrow :) But I did get all the boxes out of the house yesterday. Another car load to Goodwill and a lot of boxes stacked in the garage, but I can finally take a bit of a break from unpacking - at least it doesn't look like I'm living in the middle of a storage area :)

The card - hexagon stamp/punch is from SU. Colors are marina mist, white and daffodil.
I'm finally able to park my car in the garage - woo hoo! There's still a lot of stuff in there, but at least it's all on one side now. Most of it can be dealt with later. I need to get the cupboards cleaned out and organized but that can wait for a while too. Now I just need to get the last few boxes unpacked in the house.

The card - a sentiment, some washi tape and a prima flower. Quick and easy.
My goal today is to get the class room/stamp room cleaned up (again!). In the process of trying to get the garage cleaned out I ended up piling a lot of boxes in the stamp room - now I need to figure out what the heck to do with all this stuff. Why do I have still have all those eyelets in every color? I haven't used an eyelet in years - I think it's time to get rid of them :)
Enjoy your day!
Thursday, November 21, 2013
The card - stamped images are from SU. Colors are white, vanilla and black.
Making progress in the garage. Got rid of a truck load of stuff I no longer needed - now it's just a matter of moving some stuff into the shed and then getting the rest organized. I should be able to park my car in the garage one day soon!!!!
Have a wonderful day.
Wednesday, November 20, 2013
The card - chevrons in a variety of colors (from the SU chevron punch) and die cut letters.
I guess I will try to tackle some of the boxes I piled in the stamp room - can't do much more in the garage until Jeff comes by to haul a truckload to Goodwill. I'm beginning to think the rest of my life will be spent unpacking boxes :)
Have a great day!
Tuesday, November 19, 2013
The card - stamped image is from SU. The image is stamped in black on white cardstock, then matted with black. The sentiment is popped up. The card and ribbon are artichoke. A good 'guy' card.
I decided to start working on the garage yesterday instead of going shopping - oh my - now my nice, clean, neat class room is stacked with boxes of stuff I need to unpack and sort through. But I am determined that I will get the garage cleaned out enough so they can put the new garage doors up this week and make enough room so I can park my car in there! That's my goal for the week!!!!
Have a great day.
Monday, November 18, 2013
The card - wood look printed paper, punched, embossed leaf and a sentiment. A super easy one. (I wish I had scrunched up the leaf on this one!)
Um.....what to do today......can't quite decide where to start. The garage definitely needs some attention and I've been dealing with some stuff as I go, but there's so much stuff out there I can't figure out a good plan for getting it organized. Um...maybe I'll go shopping instead - still have to find a dining room table :)
Have a wonderful day.
Sunday, November 17, 2013
Project Sunday - the new classroom/stamp room.
This was my project yesterday. It still needs a lot of work -but the basics are in there. There's still lots to put away, organize and find a place for - thank goodness for the storage in the garage (when I can get to it!) This is probably the area where I have to 'downsize' the most.
Enjoy your day!
Saturday, November 16, 2013
Before and after..........the kitchen is probably the room that looks the most different. I would have liked to have been able to get new kitchen cabinets but that didn't quite fit into the budget. So....I just had them painted. One day soon I will add some bright, colorful decorations....but for now just getting stuff put away will suffice.
Friday, November 15, 2013
The card - flower is from SU - stamped in black and colored with markers. Colors are wisteria and white.
Taking a break from unpacking today. Going to breakfast with Judy S and then some shopping. Woo hoo! (hopefully the rain they are predicting for today will hold off until later). I need a fun day!
Have a great day.
Thursday, November 14, 2013
The card - washi tape, ribbon and a sentiment - another easy one! The washi tape is adhered to the white strip and then added to the front of the card. The card is smoky slate.
Today I am going to get the things in the bathroom put away and then hopefully I can start on the classroom/stamp room. I think I've been avoiding that one - it's going to be a major project since a lot of that stuff is buried somewhere in the garage. But, I need to get some stamping done, so hopefully I can at least find the basics.
Have a wonderful day.

The card - super simple one - the chevron stamp at the bottom is from Lawn Fawn. Sentiment is an old Daisy D stamp (I think).
The missing silverware has been found - along with my bread box, dish towels, and some plastic containers. I hope that's the last of the kitchen stuff because I don't have any place to put anything else :) I got my office / wool room straightened up last night - woo hoo - now maybe I can get some stitching done! Today I'm going to work on my bedroom - I've been living out of a suitcase the last few days :)

The card - leaves are from SU. I just added some Prima flowers and a sentiment. Colors are calypso coral and white.
Whew - a full day of unpacking yesterday. The kitchen, dining room and utility room are pretty much put together - at least there are no boxes piled in those rooms. My silverware and a few other kitchen items are still MIA, but I think I spied the boxes in the garage so when my son comes by I can get him to move the extra heavy tubs sitting on top so I can get to them. I need to do a few errands today and then I think I'll work on my office/work room.
Have a great day!
Monday, November 11, 2013
The card - leaf stamp is from Papertrey. Flowers are from Prima and the strip at the bottom is washi tape.
Well, here I am - ready to begin life in my 'new' house. We made the last trip out to the other house yesterday to pick up the last of the odds and ends. Now, it's moving on to unpacking. I got all the kitchen boxes unpacked yesterday - not put away, but unpacked! Can't find my silverware - oh oh- it must be out in the garage somewhere - it could be a while before I have silverware I guess! (there's always plastic, which I have a box of :)
Have a wonderful day!

Project Sunday - um...this is what happens when you don't get rid of enough stuff before you move. The entire garage is full - I had them leave me little aisles between the stacks :) It's going to take forever to get this stuff organized! It will definitely be an on-going project for some time.
It's been quite the weekend. But I'm really liking my 'new' house! I think I'm going to be very comfortable here.
I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to Deb, Judy S, Emily, Ann and Patsy for helping with moving stuff! They were awesome! And Deb and Judy came back on moving day and helped even more! You guys are the best!!!!!
We have a bit of cleaning up to do at the other house today and then I can get back to unpacking. I'm beginning to think that is going to be a much bigger job than packing was. Trying to fit 2800 sq feet of stuff into 1600 sq feet is going to be quite a challenge! Yep, time to get rid of even more stuff :)

The card - Leaves are from SU. Colors are cajun, pumpkin and white.
Countdown - 1 day. My last day in this house. Happy - sad - happy - sad - I'm trying to concentrate on the happy part, really I am! The house in town is looking really nice - the new windows are awesome. It's going to be a good house for me! (see, I'm thinking happy!) Today is cleaning day - there's sawdust everywhere from the construction stuff. So while that is getting done my awesome friends will be out here loading up all that miscellaneous stuff that just won't go in a box for the movers. The movers will be here tomorrow and then I will be on to a new adventure - unpacking and figuring out where to put everything!
Have a wonderful day!

The card - washi tape, a sentiment and some bling. I drew the line border with a pen. Easy!
Countdown - 2 days. Yikes! Too much to do and not enough time. Poor Jeff ran into some issues changing out the faucets on the shower yesterday - old house, old plumbing, new stuff wouldn't work. It ended up taking up a lot more of his time than he had planned. It looks like some of the stuff we hoped to have done before the move will have to wait until after the move. They are putting in the new windows today - that's the last of the major construction stuff - thank goodness! I need to finish up the packing today.
Have a great day!
Tuesday, November 5, 2013
The card - stamped images are from Hero Arts. I stamped the script background on a white piece of cardstock, then stamped and embossed the swirl stamp in white. Then I sponged a bit of baja over the entire thing. Added some Prima flowers and a sentiment. Colors are baja, black and white.
Countdown - 3 days. The new flooring is all done at the other house - yay! This is going to be a new thing for me - there is no carpet - it's all wood laminate and vinyl tile. Big change - don't think I've ever lived in a house with no carpet. But the house is starting to look like a house again instead of a construction zone :) Jeff has to finish the baseboards and we have a lot of cleaning to do, but the end is in sight (finally). Now I just to finish the darn packing - my stamp room is taking forever, but I hope to finish that up today!
Have a wonderful day.

The card - hexagon stamps/punch are from SU. The hexagons are stamped, punched out and then popped up on the white panel. The white panel is also popped up on the colored strips in the background.
Countdown - 4 days. More packing to do today. I keep looking at all this stuff and wondering where the heck I'm going to put it in the other house - I definitely will be needing to get rid of some more stuff :) But for now it will get packed, stacked in the garage and I will figure it all out later.
Have a great day!
Sunday, November 3, 2013
No Project picture this week - this is a shot of the sunset last night from my living room window.
Countdown - 5 days. Still seems like there is so much to get done, but Jeff says we'll be done in time! However he's thinking of the finishing on the house in town and doesn't seem to remember that I still have to finish packing and getting everything done here too - can you tell I'm getting a bit overwhelmed? Today we have to go buy 360 feet of baseboard, get it painted (my job) and ready to nail to the wall (Jeff's job). I have a feeling it's going to be a very long day.

Photo Saturday - view of Mt Garfield at sunset last weekend
Countdown - 6 days Working at the house in town today. The painter is finished and the flooring is almost done - he will finish up on Monday. Today Jeff is going to install the toilets and vanities and I will be doing a little cleaning up, putting knobs and handles on cupboard doors and whatever else Jeff tells me to do :)
Have a great day!
Friday, November 1, 2013
The card - flower is from SU. Strips at bottom are washi tape. Flower and washi tape are on a separate piece that is adhered to the front of the black card.
Countdown - 7 days - only 1 week to go! Oh my goodness. The days are going by much too fast. Today I'm going to start packing up my stamp room - should be an interesting day :) But tonight Deb will be here for Friday night crafting so I can take a little break and relax! Yay!
Have a great day!

Wednesday, October 30, 2013
The card - some patterned paper and a leaf punch. The leaf is scrunched up and distressed.
Countdown - 9 days. Have to take a break from packing today and go get a haircut. Then I need to exchange a couple of light fixtures. Most of the packing is done - I say most because I still have to do my stamp room/work room. That one is going to be...... um...can't even think of word to describe it :)
Have a wonderful day!

The card - a file folder card made with SU's envelope punch board. I cut the front of this one smaller for a different look.
Countdown - 10 days. Whew, still lots of work to get done. But I made a lot of progress yesterday and hopefully will be able to finish packing up the utility room today.
To answer a question from yesterday, the background strip was done by inking up a clear rectangle block and then stamping that on the card.
Enjoy your day!

The card - leaves are from SU. I used a clear block to stamp the background strip. Colors are kraft, white and rust.
The countdown has begun - only 11 more days til moving day. Oh my! It seems like there is still an awful lot to get done in that amount of time. I got some packing done yesterday and hauled 4 boxes of stuff to Goodwill - more of the same today!
Have a great day!

The card - flowers are from SU. Colors are smoky slate and cantaloupe.
Whew...no more shopping for a few days! I'm exhausted! Taking a bit of a break today - my company is leaving this morning - I'll take them to the airport, come home and maybe take a nap :), then it's off to the house in town to meet the guy about the fence. Have to say I have accomplished way more with my cousin and her daughter here to help than I would have by myself. They've been great! So looking forward to a Friday night crafting night with Deb tonight - it's been way too long and I really need a little relaxation.
Have a wonderful day!
Thursday, October 24, 2013
The card - a little grunge, some washi tape and a sentiment. That's it. Pretty darn easy. There is some black bling on there in places but it didn't show up well in the photo.
Another day of shopping coming up. I did make a lot of progress yesterday though - have a new microwave, dishwasher, toilets, and bathroom vanities being delivered on Saturday. Woo hoo! That was most of the big purchases, so today it's lights, faucets and door handles that we're looking for. It has been great to have my cousin Marleen here to help with the decisions - not sure I would have made this much progress without her!
Have a wonderful day!
Oh, and just so that you all don't have the wrong impression that I'm wonder woman, I haven't really been stamping in the middle of all this - I made all the cards I've been posting a couple weeks ago when I spent a couple of days doing nothing but stamping :)
Wednesday, October 23, 2013
The card - a super easy Halloween card. Stamped images are from SU. I drew the lines with orange and black markers.
Whew, this marathon shopping is hard work. But I did make some decisions on a few things, so that is a good thing. Have to make chicken and noodles for dinner tonight so I'm off to make the noodles before we leave for another full day of shopping.
Have a great day!
Tuesday, October 22, 2013
The card - leaves are from Hero Arts - stamped and cut out. Colors are indigo, cajun and eggplant.
My cousin from California and her daughter arrived last night - we stayed up way too late visiting and I didn't get nearly enough sleep! But that's ok, it's going to be fun having them around this week! Today I think we're going to go shopping....toilets, light fixtures, faucets, bathroom vanities - oh yeah, lots of fun stuff to pick out. But it will be helpful to have someone along to help me make decisions :)
Tonight is my last class for a while. Decided not to stress myself out while moving so I won't be doing any classes in November :( I'm going to miss seeing all my students this next month.

The card - flower is stamp/punch from SU. Leaf die cut is also from SU. Colors are white, kraft, pear, old olive and daffodil.
The house in town is finally ready for the painter to start today. Whew! There's not much left in there except the kitchen cabinets, stove and refrigerator. It's stripped pretty bare - I guess you could call that starting over :). Now I have a bit of a break and will only have to do some shopping and more packing :)
Today, though I have to get this house cleaned up a bit. Haven't been home long enough to do anything here and I've got company arriving from out of town tonight. Oh my, time to straighten up and at least move the boxes out of the spare room.
Enjoy your day!

Wool project
Project Sunday - aw, finally a finished wool project. I started this piece quite a while ago but just finished it last Sunday. (I haven't had much stitchin' time lately :)
We are hoping to be able to finish tearing things out and cleaning up at the house in town today. This has turned into a bit of a bigger project than I imagined. One thing has led to another and is taking a bit more work than I had thought. (isn't that the way it always works?)
Have a great day!

Photo Saturday - the view from my dining room window. I don't take too many pictures of this view to the south because it is just a parking lot - but in the fall it always looks so pretty when the trees are changing color.
The sale of the house still doesn't seem quite real - probably because I'm still living here I guess. But only for 3 more weeks :( Back to the house in town today - we only have this weekend to get everything done and ready for the painter to start on Monday. It's probably going to be a long couple of days. A couple of Jeff's friends are coming to help today and that should make things go a little faster. Tearing out all the baseboards in the house and removing bathroom sinks and toilets are all good jobs for 'the guys' :)
